IntegrationsOura · Smart ring

Bring your Oura recovery and sleep into ChatGPT or Claude.

Your Oura Ring can tell you a lot about sleep, readiness, recovery and activity. Athmex adds what those scores can't know on their own: which race matters, how you're currently training, your available time and the constraints your AI coach should respect.

Can ChatGPT or Claude use Oura training?

Yes. Oura data can form part of a ChatGPT or Claude coaching setup. ChatGPT can work with Oura data shared through Apple Health for eligible ChatGPT Health users, and workouts you record in Oura can reach Claude through a supported activity route.

Sleep and readiness history is the part most likely to depend on your setup, and Oura's scores may not always transfer as scores. Athmex supplies the training context that makes them useful. Start your profile, connect it to ChatGPT or Claude, and we'll help you bring Oura into the same setup. Athmex doesn't import Oura data itself.

What your Oura Ring measures

Oura members read the day through three scores: Readiness, Sleep and Activity. Underneath sit HRV, resting heart rate, body-temperature trends and sleep stages. Resilience shows how well you've been handling stress over weeks; Daytime Stress tracks the day; Cardiovascular Age and Cardio Capacity give the longer view.

For an athlete, those are recovery signals. They answer how you are. What you should do next depends on your plan, your race and your constraints.

A poor Readiness Score isn't a training decision

Readiness tells you something about your body this morning. It can't tell you whether to run the intervals. That depends on where you are.

In a hard training week

Low Readiness midway through a build might mean moving the key session a day and keeping the week's shape. The assistant needs to know which session matters most.

In an easy week

If the week is already easy, there may be little to change except sleep and stress. The number is still useful information.

In race week

Nerves, travel and a new bed often pull Readiness down. An assistant that knows the race date can help you not over-react.

When you feel unwell

Temperature deviations and a run of low scores can go with illness. An assistant can help you plan conservatively, but it can't diagnose anything. See a professional if you're worried.

Sleep, HRV and training load

Sleep Score and sleep stages are the Oura numbers athletes watch most. A week of short sleep during a heavy block is a real risk to adaptation; the same week during a recovery block matters less.

HRV trends work the same way. A falling line is more meaningful than any single night. An assistant that knows your training load and race timing can say whether the trend is expected.

Oura for endurance athletes

Many runners, cyclists and triathletes wear an Oura Ring alongside a sports watch: the watch records sessions, the ring tracks recovery. That split works well, and it means the two halves of the picture live in different apps.

An AI coach can bring them together. Last night's Readiness and this week's sessions from your watch are one question: should today change? Your race and priorities in Athmex are what answer it.

Runners

A run of low Readiness during marathon training is a reason to look at the long run and the week's intensity together.

Cyclists and triathletes

High training volume shows up in HRV and resting heart rate. The assistant can help you judge whether that's the productive fatigue a build needs.

Travel, race week and recovery

Travelling to a race often shows up in Oura as shorter sleep, higher resting heart rate and a lower Readiness Score. Knowing that in advance helps. With the race date and your travel plans in Athmex, ChatGPT or Claude can help you plan the last days so a low score doesn't cause a panic.

Daytime Stress and real life

Training happens around work, family and travel. Daytime Stress and Resilience make that visible. Keep your availability and constraints in Athmex, and ChatGPT or Claude can build a week that respects them.

Protecting sleep before a race
Plan the final week around sleep and travel as well as the sessions.
A temperature or HRV trend
Talk through whether a run of low scores points to stress, training load or a need to check in with a professional.
A busy week at work
Use Daytime Stress and your availability to set a realistic week.

Questions Oura athletes ask about ChatGPT and Claude

Can ChatGPT use my Oura Readiness Score?

Oura data shared through Apple Health can reach ChatGPT for eligible ChatGPT Health users, though Oura's scores may arrive as the underlying measurements rather than the score itself.

Can Claude see my Oura sleep?

Claude's activity route carries workouts you record in Oura rather than sleep history, so share last night's sleep yourself when it matters.

Can ChatGPT change my training after a poor Oura Readiness Score?

It can help you decide. The answer depends on your race date, the purpose of the session and how the week has gone. Athmex keeps the first two ready.

Can AI use Oura HRV and temperature trends?

It can reason about them when they're shared. Treat unusual trends as a reason to check in with a professional if you feel unwell.
