Who Athmex is#

Athmex is operated by Lee Evans, trading as Athmex ("we", "us"), a sole trader based in Belfast, United Kingdom.

The service#

Athmex stores your athlete context and makes it available to the ChatGPT or Claude assistant you choose to connect. That context can include your goals, races, personal bests, thresholds, training availability, constraints, injuries you choose to record, equipment, and your athlete notes and history.

ChatGPT or Claude does the coaching and reasoning. Athmex is not itself an AI coach, and it is not a medical service.

Athmex is not an activity-history importer. Depending on the platform and assistant you use, your training and activity information may reach ChatGPT or Claude separately, through the connection methods that platform and assistant currently support.

Training and medical advice#

Athmex supplies data and context. Any training advice, plan or interpretation you receive comes from ChatGPT or Claude, not from Athmex. AI assistants can be wrong, sometimes confidently.

Nothing from Athmex or from an assistant is a medical diagnosis or medical advice. Please get advice from a qualified professional when it is appropriate, particularly if you are injured, unwell or have a medical condition, or before a significant change to your training.

Your account#

You are responsible for keeping your account secure, including your sign-in details and any private connection you set up for ChatGPT or Claude. Do not share them. If you think your account or a connection has been compromised, contact support@athmex.com straight away.

Your data#

You own the information you add to Athmex. You give us permission to store it, process it and make it available to the assistant you choose, as needed to provide the service. This is subject to our Privacy Policy and to the connections you choose to set up.

Membership and the 14-day free trial#

Athmex is a paid membership service.

• Eligible new members get a 14-day free trial.
• You enter your payment details at Stripe Checkout when you start the trial. Nothing is charged during the trial.
• You choose monthly or annual membership. The current price for your location is shown before checkout.
• Annual membership gives you two months free compared with paying monthly.
• Unless you cancel, your membership continues automatically and is charged at the monthly or annual interval you chose.

Members from our earlier free-access period may see a different transition date in their account. That date applies to them.

Payments through Stripe#

Membership checkout and subscription payments are handled through Stripe Managed Payments. For these transactions, Stripe, selling through Link, acts as the merchant of record. Stripe handles the payment and related tax processing under its own terms and privacy information.

Athmex does not receive or store your full card details. Buying a membership does not give Stripe your athlete profile or training context.

Renewal, cancellation and your rights#

Your membership renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel from the billing section of your account or by contacting support@athmex.com.

Cancelling stops future renewals. Your access normally continues until the end of your trial or of the paid period you are already in, unless the law or a refund or cancellation right means otherwise.

Depending on where you live and your circumstances, you may have statutory rights to cancel, to a cooling-off period or to a refund. Nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory consumer rights.

Third-party services#

ChatGPT (from OpenAI), Claude (from Anthropic) and the training and activity platforms you use are separate services with their own terms and privacy policies. When you connect ChatGPT or Claude to Athmex, the information you share with it is handled by that provider under its terms.

We cannot guarantee the availability, features or connection methods of those services, or that they will stay compatible with Athmex.

Availability#

We aim to provide Athmex with reasonable care and skill. We cannot promise it will always be available without interruption, or that third-party services it works with will always be available.

Liability#

We are not responsible for losses caused solely by training decisions you make based on advice generated by ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant, to the extent the law allows.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Ending your membership or account#

You can cancel your membership, and you can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if your use creates a security risk, is unlawful, abusive or fraudulent, or where it is reasonably necessary to protect or operate the service. Where it is appropriate, we will tell you why.

Changes to these terms#

If we make material changes to these terms, we will tell you in a reasonable way, including by email where appropriate, and update the date above.

Governing law#

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections available under the law of the place where you live, and nothing in these terms prevents you from bringing a claim in a court that applicable law allows you to use.
