IntegrationsStryd · Running power

Bring your Stryd running power into ChatGPT or Claude.

Stryd gives you Running Power, Critical Power and a detailed view of how you run. Build your Athmex profile so ChatGPT or Claude also knows the runner: the race, the Critical Power you trust and when it was set, your weekly schedule and the injury that changes everything.

Can ChatGPT or Claude use Stryd training?

Yes. Stryd data can form part of a ChatGPT or Claude coaching setup. Stryd runs can reach Claude through a supported activity route, with running power where the activity file carries it, and exports can be shared as files when you want a deeper look.

Athmex supplies the runner around the numbers: your races, Critical Power and when you set it, availability and injury history. Start your profile, connect it to ChatGPT or Claude, and we'll help you bring Stryd into the same setup. Athmex doesn't import Stryd data.

Running power, explained

Pace tells you how fast you went. Running power tells you how hard you worked to go that fast. On flat roads the two agree. On hills, in wind or on trails they don't, and that's where power earns its place.

Stryd builds everything around Critical Power: the highest power you can sustain for a long effort, roughly the boundary between hard and very hard. Power Zones come from it, and the Power Duration Curve shows what you can hold for ten seconds, ten minutes or an hour.

Critical Power and race pacing

Critical Power is the number most Stryd runners plan from. A marathon is often run at a percentage of it; a 10K closer to it. Hills stop being guesswork because the target stays the same going up.

An AI coach can help turn that into a race plan, once it knows the race, the course and your goal. It also needs to know when your Critical Power was last updated. A number from before a six-week break is a different number now. Keep it in Athmex with its date.

Running Stress Score and Running Stress Balance

Running Stress Score puts a number on each run's load. Running Stress Balance compares recent load with longer-term load to show freshness. Together they're Stryd's version of fitness and fatigue.

They say how loaded you are. Whether that's right depends on the race date and where you are in the build. An assistant with both can tell you whether a heavy week is the plan working or a warning.

Form Power, ground contact and Leg Spring Stiffness

Stryd also measures how you run: Form Power, Air Power, ground contact time, vertical oscillation, cadence, Leg Spring Stiffness and Impact Loading Rate. Late in a long run, those numbers often show fatigue before pace does.

They matter most with history. A drop in Leg Spring Stiffness means more when the assistant knows you're coming back from a calf strain. Keep your injury history in Athmex, and the pattern has a reason to be noticed.

Treadmills, triathlon and changing surfaces

Stryd measures power the same way indoors and out, which makes treadmill sessions comparable with road runs in a way pace often isn't. Triathletes use it to hold back on the run off the bike, when pace feels slow and effort feels high.

Tell the assistant where each run happened and what it was for. With your race format and Critical Power in Athmex, it can compare like with like and plan a run-off-the-bike target you can actually hold.

From a Stryd number to a coaching decision

A few examples of how athlete context changes the answer:

Critical Power jumps after a hard session

Stryd updates Critical Power from your best efforts. The assistant can help decide whether to use the new number now or confirm it first, based on your race date.

Running Stress Balance is deeply negative

Planned in an overload week, a warning in race week. Your Athmex profile tells the assistant which it is.

Form Power rises late in long runs

A common sign of fatigue. With your injury history in view, the assistant can suggest when to shorten, walk or keep going.

Hills and trails

On a hilly easy run, pace makes you run the climbs too hard. Power keeps the effort honest. For trail and mountain races, an assistant can use power to plan climbs and descents, as long as it knows the race profile and your terrain.

Questions Stryd athletes ask about ChatGPT and Claude

Can Claude use my Stryd running power?

Yes, when your runs reach Claude through a supported activity route and the file carries power.

Can ChatGPT use Stryd Critical Power?

Keep the Critical Power you trust in Athmex, with its date, and ChatGPT has it every time.

Can AI pace a marathon by running power?

It can help you plan a power target from your Critical Power, the course profile and your goal time. Treat it as a plan to test in long runs, not a promise.

Can AI use Leg Spring Stiffness and ground contact time?

Share them in the conversation. They're most useful read against your recent training and injury history.
